January 18, 2005 Today is the first day of the Spring semester at Cleveland State University. I'm taking one class (as usual) this semester: Econometrics. I'm actually excited to start classes. but the strange thing about Economics is that I enjoy the classes (usually) throughout the semester. When I was getting my engineering masters degree, I hated attending class. Economics is a bit more interesting. I really should have done this from the start. My wife is taking her last class this semester before she graduates. Sadly, her class is on Wednesday nights, while mine is on Tuesday and Thrusday nights, which is a real bummer. I guess the plus side is that , when she has school, I can watch movies that she does not want to see. For example, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is playing at the Armstrong household this Wednesday, starting at approximately 5:30PM. I did get my new Linux machine up and running. I truly love Debian. My AMD Athlon 2000+ flies with Debian sarge installed. After fighting with the ATI graphics drivers, I now have OpenGL, letting me play Doom 3. Awesome! I'll have to post the directions to get the ATI drivers installed since it is not an easy task, and i actually ran into some problems that were hardly addressed anywhere. That's all for now... Adios, Jeff .
