Nothing new going on lately.  I just thought another entry would be 
good.  Lately, I've been struggling with a paper for my econometrics 
class.  The paper analyzes whether internet priacy has an effect on 
record sales.  So far, it appears that it does in fact have a negative 
effect, so all those people who say it doesn't should shut up.  On the 
other hand, i could care less if it does have a negative effectt.  The 
RIAA can kiss my ass.  

I've also been trying to get my VAX 4000/200 booting again.  I have to 
netboot the giant SOB because it has no hard drives.  Why Digital 
decided to go with DSSI as their drive standard instead of SCSI is 
beyond me.  Anyway, my Linux box doesn't seem to be cooperating with the 
VAX.  Something just isn't right.  I thought that a big beefy VAX 
sitting as my gateway into my home network would be pretty sweet.  i 
don't want to expose an x86 hardware directly to the 'net because it 
could be too easy to hack.  Some exotic hardware in the way might make 
it a bit harder to get in.
