Terrigal, NSW - Seachange - 5th Jan 2003
Tanning and bathing along Terrigal Beach. Observing the locals at the beach, exploring the rocks and having lunch at "The Skillion". Short stroll around the town centre.

Boyne Valley, Ireland - Surrender - 2nd June 2002
Short visit of Fourknocks Passage Grave in County Meath. Tour of Mellifont Abbey, the birthplace for Christianity in Ireland, and Monasterboice - home of Muiredach''s Cross. Tour of Slane Abbey and the Hill of Slane where St Patrick lit the famous bonfire in defiance of the Pagan kings who were based at the Hill of Tara.

Tour of the Temple Bar district, the National Museum, the Liffey and Windmill Lane. Guided tour of the Trinity College and Dublin Castle. Sights and sounds of street performers around Grafton Street and the Temple Bar district

Madrid, Spain - Toros - 26th May 2002
Early in the morning in the Plaza de la Villa followed by the Palacio Real. Guided tour of the Palacio Real and a short walk of the Royal Armouries. Gathering of musicians at the Plaza de Oriente near Theatre Real. Relaxing stroll in and around Parque del Retiro for lunch before heading back to the Palacio Real to explore the surrounding parks and Plaza de Espana. Bullfight at the stadium in Plaza Toros.

Madrid, Spain - Arrival - 25th May 2002
Departed Barcelona in the early hours from Sants-Estacio, in a TGV for a 6 hour train ride to Charmatin station in Madrid. First taste of Madrid coming out of the Sol metro station in Plaza Puerto del Sol. Plaza Mayor, Museo del Prado (Prado Museum) and the Botanic Gardens.

Barcelona, Spain - Guell and Montjuic - 24th May 2002
Early morning stroll around Gaudi's Park Guell. For the afternoon, a finicular trip to the Montjuic area including the former military fort of Castle Montjuic, the Olympic Stadium and the National Art museum of Catalunya. Placa d' Espanya and Poble Espanyol ends the tour, just below Montjuic.

Barcelona, Spain- Nature and Art - 23rd May 2002
Tour of the Museu Picasso. A walk around the Parc de la Ciutadella including the cascade fountain and lake late in the morning. After lunch, a pre-booked guided tour of the famous Palau de la Musica Catalana for an hour followed by the Sagrada Familia. Finally, a tour of the famous ornamental houses around the Eixample district, including a paid visitors tour of Casa Mila and a walk around the Casa Lleo Morera, Batllo, Terrades and Amatller.

Barcelona, Spain - Arrival - 22nd May 2002
Arrival into Barcelona in the early hours of the afternoon. Placa de Catalunya, del Rei and Nova, Barcelona Cathedral, and Placa de Sant Jaume. Walk along Las Ramblas, Monument of Columbus, Placa del Portal de la Pau, Maremagnum and the Aquarium, Barceloneta and the Meditterranean.

Amsterdam, Holland - Last day - 6th May 2002
Early morning in the Dam Square and War memorial. Damrak walk to Amstel passing the Mint Tower and the Blauwbrug/Magere Brug. The Plantage district outside the Amsterdam Botanic Gardens. Walking tour of the canal along Herengracht and the Museum Willet Holthuysen and finishing off at Radhuuisstraat.

Amsterdam, Holland - Sunflowers and Tulips - 5th May 2002
Keukenhof flower festival and surrounding tulip fields in the rain from morning to early afternoon. Cruise of the canals of Amsterdam that departs from Damrak to the harbour, famous landmarks in and around the canals to the Magere Burg in Amstel river and back after lunch right to late afternoon. Early dinner and a meeting of two americans followed by the tour of the Van Gogh Museum.

Amsterdam, Holland - Remembrance - 4th May 2002
Tour of the gardens of the Floriade flower festival just outside the city limits for the whole morning. Tour of the famous Rijksmuseum after lunch in the Museum Quarter followed by a walk to Leidesplein Square. Dinner in Nieuwmarkt followed by a walk in Oude Zidge - the red-light district of Amsterdam. Remembrance Day Memorial service at Dam Square.

Amsterdam, Holland - Arrival - 3rd May 2002
First afternoon in Amsterdam from arrival in Schipool Airport to Centraal Station at around lunchtime. Myself and my sister first start exploring the famous Anne Frank House, before walking through the canals of Amsterdam from the Central canal ring to Amstel and finish off at the Rembrandtplein.

Paris, France - Last day in the City of Lights - 23rd April 2002
The last day of another packed tour around Paris via the trusty metro. Starting at the Eiffel Tower and working my way over to the area around Palais de Chaillot. A quick hop via the metro from Alma Marceau to the Champs Elysees area, including the Arc de Triomphe, the Grand and Petit Palais. From the Champs Elysees Clemenceau, I arrive at the Invalides Quarter, home of Napoleon's tomb, Chapel of St Louis and the military museum in the Hotel des Invalides. The day finishes off with a quick stop in the red light district of the Moulin Rouge.

Paris, France - Night and day - 22nd April 2002
My tour of the southern part of Paris starting from the Notre Dame and working downards to the Latin Quarter, the Luxembourg Quarter and St Germain des Pres. Along the way, I walk along the area of Pont Nuef, explore the Pantheon, Musee de Cluny and take a walk around the Jardin du Luxembourg. Later in the afternoon, I explored the Montemarte Quarter and the Sacre Coeur before proceeding back down to St Germain de Pres for dinner and taking night shots of the Eiffel tower.
