What is Archie Sites?

Archie is a program to search for files or strings anywahere on Internet. It
returns all the ftp sites containing the string. The Site lists in this page
provides direct connection to the archie servers, and allow you to do the
search on-line.


How to access Archie Program?

Archie could be accessed through archie client programs, by telnet, or via
e-mail. This page provide telnet access to archie servers. To access, use
the following steps,

1. login as 'archie'

2. set <search option>

3. search <string>

4. quit

Please noted that some of the Archie Sites have restricted access to certain
area or machine. These sites may not be able to login from time to time.
