These items include SYNC info, MUTED tracks (which would be erased in MID) and all front panel [filter] settings. So, for a very basic style song file- *.sng would be smaller, but if you use additional information...*.mid file format is more limited- and information would either be imbedded or ignored (not saved). We use 5 bytes per note, *.MID files use 6. After you pass over 5000 notes, then you'll see a savings in size. In the long run, SNG files would be smaller on very large files...otherwise not. Version 4.11 has been out for almost two years. There are not significant problems reported with it...so I would expect you not to have any problems either. At least you used some decent song files to experiment with (esp.
