SPEC membership is comprised of over 33 organizations in the computer industry including semiconductor manufacturers, system manufacturers, and academic institutions. SPECint92 is the geometric mean of the SPECratios from six integer-intensive benchmarks which constitute the CINT92 suite. SPECfp92 is the geometric mean of the SPECratios from fourteen floating-point intensive benchmarks which constitute the CFP92 suite. The CINT92 and CFP92 suites are both derived from real application code and measure both the CPU and memory subsystem. Since the metric is distributed in source code and compiled for a given platform, it is often used to compare performance across architectures. Copyright (C) 1995 Intel Corporation .
