 E-mail is one of the key elements of online life! In her 
 presentation, Angela E. Taylor will show you how you can maximize 
 the usefulness of e-mail by participating in focused online 
 discussions. The mechanics of e-mail discussion lists will be 
 covered and include the following sub-topics:

        strategies on locating a discussion list
        what exactly is a listserv
        how to join and signoff a list
        nettiquette tips
        & Angela's Top 10 of lists to read!

 New and advanced users can gain from this exciting application 
 of the most basic of Internet tools.

 Speaker:

 Angela E. Taylor, a.k.a "List Lady", brings 10+ years of Internet
 experience to this presentation. A founding member of the Ocean 
 State Internet Society, Ms. Taylor is a senior library technician 
 at the RI Dept. of State Library Services, and Senior Consultant 
 with a local firm specializing in Internet and online research and 
 training services. 


 Also: We will conduct online Free-Net registrations (after 8 pm), 
 and if time permits, display the OSIS SIG on the Free-Net where 
 info about the Internet is always available. Remember to bring a 
 diskette if you want to access our library of public domain and 
 shareware utilities. 

 Come at 6:30 pm if you have questions or want to offer your
 expertise to new users; the regular program begins at 7 pm.
