Hmm, I'll check. (I selected "Show control characters" in the terminal
setup menu, And all the way during boot it prints the normal CR,LF until
it gets to the part after the memory info when it starts using RI,LF
instead. No idea either what RI is, but that's what my terminal says is at
the end of each line.)

Yes, I have tried almost everything by now. Still ain't making any
difference. Wonder if it's my console cable that's wrong in some way...

The communication is 8,N,1. Should that be 7,N,1 instead? Cause if I try
that and switch on the PDP it only prints a lot of ????????????.

My terminal emulation is VT100.

Ok, I'll check what it says. (Btw, the picture is there now.. I noticed
after I typed the above that I just didn't have the transfer cable
(camera<->computer) at home last night..)
But I noticed now that the flash blanked out the text on the silver
sticker... :(

Hmm, the boot says: (I'm not sure of the exact wording but I am sure that
the kernel said that it looked for ra1 at 174400.)

ha .. can't find that and says something
ra0 .. whereever ra0 is at
x.. can't find that either
ra1 csr 174400 vector xxx (vectorset?) not attached
..
..

(Sorry for not remembering exactly what the boot says... :(. I'll check
later)

And it doesn't even mention my qe0 board. But that driver is perhaps not
included in the standard UNIX kernel? Could it be some conflict between
the boards in my PDP? I have them like this:

              M8190
              M7551-BV
        emulex M7516
              M8639-YA

[..]

I'll try to boot from tape again.
(Another round of entering the 100 lines of the TK50 boot code.. :)

Thanks!
