Niagara Falls

a set of waterfalls on the Niagara River between the state of New York in the United States and Ontario in Canada. The river is nearly a mile across at the falls and flows approximately 15 million cubic feet of water per minute over straight drops ranging from 158 to 167 feet. At times individuals have gone over the falls in a barrel, though few have survived the ordeal. The first successful attempt was made in 1901 by a 43-year-old woman, witnessed by thousands of spectators.
