Narcotics Divisiona reference to the Bureau of Narcotics established on 14 June 1930, as an independent bureau of the Treasury Department in the United States. Its alleged purpose is to protect individuals from dangerous drugs. It is charged with the responsibility of enforcing various controlled substance codes and laws passed in the US, issuing permits for sending drugs out of the US, regulating the quantity of drugs created in the states for medicinal purposes and licensing the production of poppies and manufacturing of opium products. |
