Moses, the brass tablets ofreference to the Ten Commandments (the divine law given in the Old Testament of the Bible) which were, per the Bible, engraved on tablets and given to the prophet Moses by God on Mount Sinai. Per the story, God shrouded the mountain in a cloud, and made thunder, lightning and trumpet blasts come forth from it. The commandments engraved on the tablets include such laws as: "Thou shalt not kill," "Thou shalt not steal," etc. |
