Infantry, 137th

a regiment of the United States Army organized in Kansas in 1879 as the Kansas Volunteer Militia. It evolved into the Kansas National Guard and was renamed 137th Infantry in October 1917. During World War 1, this regiment fought in a number of regions of France and during World War II in France and central Europe.
