HYPO-SIGHT
  1. the person who is always losing something when it lies in fair view before him, who misses signposts, theater bills and people who are in plain sight is "hysterically" blind to some degree. He is afraid he will see something. In Dn this is being called, since the word "hysterical" is a very inadequate and overly dramatic one, hypo-sight, (hypo=under). (DMSMH, p. 189)
