The early issues of Ability contained original, first publication articles by L. Ron Hubbard, 
Mary Sue Hubbard, "Nibs" (LRH Jr.), John Sanborn, Paul Twitchell, Julia Lewis, and others. 
They contain information found nowhere else. For example, In Operational Bulletin No, 14 
of January 1956, Ron states that 5 hours of his auditing produced results as good as 25 hours 
from HGC staff auditors. The supporting data are found in an article by Julia Lewis in Ability 2 
Major, and nowhere else. Julia also published a follow-up study in Ability 44.
    Historians of scientology will find a wealth of material - lists of staff members, Advanced 
Clinical Course students, and Congress attendees along with their photographs. 
    After having carefully collected and preserved my personal collection of Ability for over 50 
years, I am making it available to students of scientology for scholarly and historical research. 
Several people have helped fill in the missing issues. This collection is complete from the first 
issue in 1955 through issue 192 in April 1967.
