Router Modes                                                                  

To exit from user mode Router>Logout

To get into privilaged exec mode  

Router>enable
To exit from privilaged mode & return to user mode Router#disable
To get into global configuration mode Router#config terminal
To get out of configuration mode Router(config)exit

Types of Memory in a Cisco Router

ROM holds the image the router uses when it initally boots
RAM holds running configuration and routing tables
NVRAM holds start up configurations
